Supporting student learning

Students working together in the library

At Evans High School, we support students in all their learning goals. Whether it is to develop their academic skills, maximise opportunities for workplace learning, or to provide additional literacy, numeracy and social skills learning, we strive to meet all the learning goals of our diverse community.

As part of the NSW Literacy and Numeracy Strategy, all students from 2020 will be required to meet a minimum standard of literacy and numeracy. This is equivalent to achieving a Band 8 in Year 9 NAPLAN reading, writing and numeracy tests. Students who do not achieve this level in year 9 NAPLAN will have the opportunity to undertake online tests in year 10, 11 or 12 to demonstrate that they have met the required standard.
